I'm sure the whole world is delighted to see Brad Pitt on the cover of December Vanity Fair wearing his boxer but it turned out that he himself did not know anything about it either.
The picture, which first appeared in The Post on Monday, was taken by avant-garde director and photographer Robert Wilson in September 2005, when Pitt sat for a video portrait. Reps for Vanity Fair said Wilson gave the magazine the right to publish Pitt's photo for this December "Art Issue," and that Wilson sent Pitt's managers a letter informing him of the plans.
But Pitt's lawyers are considering suing the glossy for using the "unauthorized" photo.
Pitt's camp, however, is upset. "We were all surprised," said his publicist. "We had a great relationship with Vanity Fair. I don't know if this is going to affect that."
