American actress Cameron Diaz became hooked on British food while filming The Holiday in the UK.
Cameron Diaz shot a scene where she gorged on scones - a British bread and raisin cake eaten with cream and jam - and she now can't leave them alone.
"When the scones were all gone but there's still cream and preserves left, I'd scoop that all up with the knife and make a knife scone! Then I'd eat it all."
"There was a scene that got cut out of the film when I am in a cafe and there is this big thing of scones and clotted cream in front of me. We shot it for a week. I'd take the top off the cream every time!"

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's recent photo appearances with Victoria and David Beckham aren't just publicity - the couples are growing extremely close.
Lopez and Anthony were introduced to the Beckhams at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' November (2006) wedding and have been spotted together several times since.

But Jameson should be forgiven. Our source says the gorgeous blond, who has to look good from head to toe professionally, has had a little work done "down there" - and is not pleased with it.
"She underwent a vaginoplasty at a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, and she is very unhappy," said the source, who added, in perhaps an unfortunate choice of words, "she has decided to hole up and not speak to anybody. The producers are about to pull the plug on the movie," which would be a mainstream production.
Jennifer Lopez suffered from anxiety about her ability while recording a new, un-named track, until a crash course from her singing spouse restored her confidence.
She says, "The song I was about to record was a beautiful ballad. Marc just looked at me and he said, 'Jennifer, read the words, sing the words. Don't think about your voice, think about what you are singing.'"
The couple, meanwhile, claim their Hispanic roots help them to understand each other.
Lopez says, "My husband is from my culture, from my background and he totally understands me both emotionally and creatively. He is the first person to give me total confidence as an artist."
Prosecutors asked a judge on Thursday to revoke Paris Hilton's probation for reckless driving, which could lead to jail time for the celebrity socialite, the City Attorney's Office said.
A hearing has been set for April 17 for prosecutors to argue that Hilton, 26, violated the terms of her probation by knowingly driving with a suspended license, said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for the city attorney, Rocky Delgadillo.
The hotel heiress and star of the reality TV show "The Simple Life" was sentenced to three years probation in January after pleading no contest -- the equivalent of a guilty plea -- to alcohol-related reckless driving.
Five weeks later, police pulled Hilton over again in the city of West Hollywood for driving without headlights and impounded her car, a $190,000 Bentley, when they discovered her license had been suspended, authorities said.
The case was then referred to the City Attorney's Office.
At the time, Hilton's spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said his client was not aware that her driving privileges had been curtailed. But prosecutors have since concluded otherwise.
"We are confident that we have sufficient evidence to prove that her license was suspended, and that she had knowledge of that suspension" Velasquez said.
If found to have breached the terms of her probation, Hilton could be sentenced to up to 90 days in jail, he added.

Dr.William Dorfman admits he still cannot believe what he saw as an army of snappers tried to get a shot of Spears' first dental visits since checking out of rehab last week.
Dorfman tells US TV news show Access Hollywood, "We checked her teeth. We did Zoom whitening. Everybody in Hollywood whitens their teeth.
"C'mon give the kid a break! Just let her whiten her teeth."
Dorfman has also cleared up a misunderstanding on Sunday (25MAR07), which left the media speculating about the pop star's health - after it appeared she checked into a Century City hospital.
The dentist explains, "Britney came in here on Sunday. She had a tooth she wanted me to check. Unfortunately her driver accidentally went to the emergency room in Century City instead of my office. It's right in front."
Dorfman insists Spears' two visits to his offices in the past five days were just routine: "I have to dispel any rumors; she is not having an extreme dental makeover."
The 25-year-old star revealed she has a number of exciting projects in the pipeline for when she finishes filming her reality show 'The Simple Life', including releasing a signature scent.
"I'm working on a style book, plus I'm launching a jewellery and accessories line, a sunglasses line and my own perfume."
Nicole - who has been at the centre of eating disorder rumors - is also looking forward to a well-earned break after a stressful few months.
"I think I'm going to do some travelling. Summer is my favorite time of year, so hopefully I'll also find time to just relax by the beach."

The release date of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson's new movie has been delayed for five months, in order to stand a better chance for next year's awards ceremonies.
The Nanny Diaries - an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Emma Mclaughlin and Nicola Kraus - stars Johansson alongside Laura Linney, and the comedy was originally due for release next month.
But production bosses have now pushed back the film's release to September, in the hope that it will benefit come awards time from better scheduling.

A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: "Ashley has always thought her nose was a little too big, so she wanted to get it done.

Jolie's security team learned of a plot to abduct the three-year-old Vietnamese boy as the actress made plans to return to America on March 19, 2007, according to the new issue of Life & Style magazine.
An insider close to the couple's security team tells the publication that Pitt and Jolie's publicists are playing down the threat, but reveals the kidnap plot was credible and meticulously planned by a deadly gang.
The source says, "They're highly skilled operatives with little regard for human life. Information came out that leaders of the gang ordered their LA members to devise a plan to kidnap Pax before demanding a ransom of $100 million - equal to the profit from a year of drug dealing - for his safe return.

Sandra Bernhard, a comedian that has been doing some scripts on Britney Spears, think her parents are to blame for her breakdown, because they pushed her into fame but neglected her when she was in trouble.
She says, "I've been doing pieces on Britney for quite a while now, and I find her kind of a touchstone in culture, and I have a great deal of empathy for her.I totally disagree; she is a grown woman now. It's not like she still 18. You shouldn't have to have your parents bail you out when you already have your own family with children. That's no excuse to toss your children around like rag dolls and become a complete junkie.
"I think she was basically co-opted by her parents at a very young age, forced into this business. And it's not completely her fault that she's flipping out.
"Having an eight-year-old kid myself, and knowing the vulnerability of a child and being thrown into that disgusting, slimy world of Disney. I mean, I can't think of a more horrible thing to do to your child."
According to TMZ, Mel Gibson went on another one of his babbling rampages. Gibson was speaking to a film class at Cal State Northridge, when an expert on the Mayan culture accused him of racially stereotyping the Mayans in "Apocalypto".
Alicia Estrada, an Assistant Professor of Central American Studies at CSUN, asked him if he even read up on the Mayans before shooting the film. She kept insisting sacrificial ceremonies and had bloodthirsty tendencies depicted in the movie were both wrong and racist. Somewhere along the lines Gibson exploded and yelled "Lady F**k Off".

Gibson has really done in his reputation this time. Maybe after one drunken night, it can be forgiven, but he just doesn't learn.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are reuniting for the first time after 10 years since the 1997 box office hit "Titanic".
Kate and Leo are set to star in "Revolutionary Road," based on Richard Yates' 1961 book, directed by Winslet's husband, Sam Mendez. The story follows a 1950's surburban family in the struggle between following their true desires or conforming to the constraints of society.
Will they be able to make another hit? Personally, I don't think it will be anything like the movie that launched both of their careers. It's just a completely different feel to it. The story seems more towards a controversial plot, than a love story. I think the main hook of the movie is about conforming to society. Sounds like a book that you might have to read in high school, like a Brave New World.
Not to say it won't be a good movie. It sounds like an interesting story. I just don't think it will play off as the reunion of the Titanic lovers.

Britney Spears has finished her nearly month-long rehab stint -- and has checked out of Promises in Malibu.
The pop princess left the treatment facility late yesterday "after successfully completing their program," said her manager, Larry Rudolph, in a statement released by Jive Records. As TMZ reported yesterday, Spears has made an amazing turnaround since she entered Promises on February 22. What's more, as we reported, she and Kevin Federline have agreed share custody of their sons temporarily as they finalize their divorce.
Nicole Richie's health problems are slowing down production on "The Simple Life" and causing fresh tension with co-star Paris Hilton, according to an on-set source.
Richie "collapsed" on location in Malibu around 4 p.m. last Wednesday, says the snitch.
"She was taken to her trailer immediately," according to the insider. "But she came around, so the crew didn't call an ambulance. She spent the rest of the day in her trailer and left Paris to complete the day's filming."
Richie has long battled drug abuse and weight issues, and her troubles on the "Simple Life" season-five location have been ongoing. The source says "she has had trouble walking and speaking clearly" on the set.
Series co-creator Jon Murray, of Bunim/ Murray Productions, told us: "There were a couple times when [Nicole] felt a little woozy and she sat down for a moment, [but] we continued within five to 10 minutes.
He said she suffered "a dehydration thing" earlier in filming, but "she's been doing much better since then."

Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt began proceedings in Vietnam last summer, US-based agency Adoptions From The Heart has revealed.
The average adoption in Vietnam takes sixth months or longer to go through.
A statement from the agency's Vietnam coordinator Heidi Gonzalez reads: "Throughout Ms. Jolie's adoption process, she received no preferential treatment from the Vietnamese government or Adoptions From The Heart."
Gonzalez also hit out at claims by Vietnam's senior adoption official VU Doc Long that the adoption was fast-tracked because of Jolie's celebrity status.
She says, "Contrary to earlier reports, her application was not fast-tracked."

Gwen Stefani fled a recording session with producer Timbaland in tears because she had writers block.
Timbaland, who has worked with a host of stars including Justin Timberlake and Mary J Blige, agreed to collaborate with Gwen on her new album, 'The Sweet Escape', but they had to abandon their session after her "breakdown".
Gwen told Britain's Hello magazine: "He's one of my favorites, but I just couldn't write anything. I was tired and burned out.
"He got me at a bad time. I had a little breakdown and went home crying. I was so embarrassing."

And while Jolie regrets the media furore surrounding the new addition to her family, she is determined to keep Pax in touch with his roots.

Angelina Jolie plans to stop making movies at least for a while to concentrate on raising her four children, the Hollywood mega-star told a Vietnamese newspaper.
Jolie, who Thursday adopted a 3-year-old Vietnamese boy she renamed Pax Thien Jolie, didn't say how long her sabbatical might take but added that raising her children is more important than her career.
"Now, I will stop making movies and will stay home to help Pax to get used to his new life," the star told the tiny Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper in an exclusive interview published Friday.
"I have four children and taking care of the children is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother," she was quoted as saying in the Vietnamese-language paper.
Jolie also said she hopes to learn some Vietnamese to communicate with Pax, who speaks only a few phrases of English, until he can adjust.
The international diva, UN goodwill ambassador and one-half of Hollywood's hottest power couple - the other half being Brad Pitt - managed to elude the world's press that descended on Vietnam this week.
But she granted an interview to the small Vietnamese-language paper published by the Ministry of Justice, which finalized the adoption on Thursday.
Her latest adoption brings her international family with partner Pitt to four children.
Pax joins five-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia; Zahara, aged two, from Ethiopia; as well as baby Shiloh - the couple's biological daughter who was born in Namibia last May.
Pitt has been reported to be making a movie in the US and could not come to Vietnam with Jolie, who signed the adoption papers as a single parent because Vietnamese regulations do not allow unmarried couples to co-adopt.

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie has been banned from boarding a flight after being branded "too drunk to travel".
The singer, real name Stacy Ferguson, was due to fly from Los Angeles to the UK with bandmates WILL.I.AM, APL.DE.AP and TABOO, but was forbidden to board the plane because of her drunken state.
An onlooker tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "She was falling all over the place and had to be supported. She was in no state to fly.
"But when she was prevented from boarding she couldn't believe it. She was drunkenly ranting at staff but could barely string a sentence together. It was very embarrassing."
Ferguson delayed the flight for an hour while her luggage was removed, but her three bandmates remained on board the plane bound for London.
A spokesperson for airline Virgin Atlantic says, "We can confirm a female passenger was denied from boarding as she appeared intoxicated and was therefore unsuitable for travel."

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has hit back at critics of her aid work, challenging them to experience global poverty first hand before they comment on her charitable actions.
The Mr And Mrs Smith star - who visited Africa last month to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Sudan - has toured some of the world's most deprived countries in her role as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador.
But she has regularly come under fire from parts of the media for using her celebrity status to highlight her charity work - a critique Jolie is particularly enraged with.
She says, "Because I do care about the opinion of the aid worker, I do care about the opinion of the refugee.
"I care less about the opinion of the person who's never been in the field but has an opinion about celebrity."

Victoria beckham who already has three sons, is desperate for a daughter and believes adopting a disadvantaged child would be the ideal solution.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Victoria is desperate to have a daughter to be girlie with. She loves the idea of having a girl to dress up, play with and make the family less male-oriented.
"She's been spending time with Katie Holmes and seeing her little girl has made Victoria really broody."
Victoria's friend Jennifer Lopez has reportedly told Victoria about a Mexican organization which helps find homes for South American orphans.
If Victoria and her husband David do adopt they will be the latest celebrities to open up their home to a disadvantaged child.
Madonna has temporary custody of a Malawi baby boy, while Angelina Jolie is planning to adopt for a third time.
Victoria's spokesperson refused to confirm the reports.
She said: "Victoria and David respect people who do adopt but they're happy with their family at the moment."
Pop star Mandy Moore has reportedly ended her relationship with Adam DJ AM Goldstein, after only a few months of dating.
The 22-year-old singer/actress split from Scrubs star Zach Braff in November (2006), and was first spotted with Goldstein at the Sundance Film Festival in January (2007).
Goldstein ended his engagement with The Simple Life star Nicole Richie last year.
But, according to Pagesix.com, the singer/actress is single once again after deciding to end the relationship before things got too serious.
A representative for Moore refused to confirm the split saying, "We don't comment on her personal life."
Gisele Bundchen's representatives are keeping quiet about reports the supermodel is pregnant with new boyfriend Tom Brady's baby.
The Victoria's Secret stunner is reportedly two months pregnant with the American football star's child, but her publicists are simply refusing to acknowledge the story.
